What made you want to look up country mile? Be proud of yourself and I am proud of you too! I'm now at an even 9:00 mile (comfortable) on my 10K/6.2 mile runs, with a quicker pace of 8:30 mile during two of those miles.

Coming off a new half marathon PR I had to face the music that I could not maintain that pace for 50 miles. For example, if you can run 2 miles in 18 minutes, look for limiting factors, work on speed, and wait to move on to 3 miles until you can run 2 miles in 16 minutes.

It is often said that hills are speedwork in disguise. I've seen some posts on hitting sub 20 minute 5k times.

typically my runs are one a week for maintenance, where i don't try to beat any of my records, and one where i really push myself.
